RMERF at AWA Tower Climb

RMERF participated at the 24th annual Alberta Wilderness Association Tower Climb held Saturday April 18th, 2015, one of the booths of the Wild Alberta Expo, held as an opportunity to educate and create awareness of our environment and have citizens learn, participate, and take action. Thanks to intern student Samantha Kirkpatrick, and Heinz Unger and Claire Bourret. Also during the closing ceremony of the Tower Climb, Ian Sherrington, on behalf of the Sherrington family, presented the Barbara Sherrington Memorial Prize for the most outstanding display in the Wild Alberta Expo in memory of Barbara Sherrington, a wonderful school teacher and dear friend and supporter of AWA. The displays were judged based on a number of elements including: visual attractiveness; level of interest; opportunity for interaction; engagement of the public and staff; and volunteer knowledge of their programs and/or products.
