Temperature:

From +5C to +8.5C at 13:00 hrs to +5C at 17:45 hrs

Description of the Day:

A windy day with flurries developing on SW and W sides of the valley from 13:00 hrs. Rain with snow in higher elevation moved over the valley after 16:45 hrs. All ridges were obscured after 17:20 hrs.
Eagles were migrating for 8 hours, from 9-17:00 hrs and all were flying over Fisher Range.
1st Golden Eagle flew at 9:11 hrs and last at 16:51 hrs.

Migrant Golden Eagle Count:

47 ( adult-28, sub-adult-2, juveniles-2, unaged-15)

Migrant Other Raptor Count By Species:

Bald Eagle-4 adults, Sharp-shinned Hawk-1 adult,

Period with Most Migrants:

Between 11-12:00 hrs with 9 Golden Eagles and between 14-15:00 hrs with 9 migrating raptors (with 7 Golden Eagles)

Total Migratory Raptors:

52

Non-Migrant Raptors:

1 adult Northern Goshawk hunting in the valley.

Other Birds of Note:

Nothern Shrike-1 juvenile, Pileated Woodpecker-1, White-winged Crossbill-150.

Other Observations:

Nothing of note
