Weather:
The start temperature was 6C, with gloomy stratus and cumulus clouds covering the sky and no ground wind. Ridge winds were mostly from the southwest and moderate during the morning.
The afternoon started with little cloud cover ~15%. That varied for the first part of the afternoon, before increasing throughout the balance of the day to approximately 90%.
Raptor Observations:
The dark sky in the morning meant aging the eagles challenging. There was a reasonably steady progression of them, initially gliding just above the east ridge, but as the morning wore on, they were using more powered flight and flying lower.
With low clouds above Patrick and the Fisher range in the later afternoon, spotting and aging eagles became more difficult.
The count included 20 Golden Eagles (12a, 1j, 1sa, 2ui, 4u).
Through the course of the day, one adult Bald Eagle was spotted.
In addition, one American Goshawk and one female Northern Harrier was seen.
Non-raptor Observations:
1 Pileated Woodpecker, 1 Blue Jay, 11 Common Raven, 2 Mountain Chickadee, 1 Boreal Chickadee, 1 American Dipper, 32 American Robin, 50 Bohemian Waxwing, 23 White-winged Crosbill.
