Weather:
The temperature started at 6 and rose to 11C, where it stayed for the rest of the day. Ground winds were light and varied from west to south during the day. Ridge winds were also light and mostly from the southwest. It was mostly cloudy all day with a mix of cumulus, stratus, and altostratus.

Raptor Observations:
There was a steady, but light, flow of raptors throughout the day. There were 21 Golden Eagles (7a, 8sa, 3j, 3u), two Sharp-shinned Hawks, one undifferentiated eagle, and one unknown falcon. All were seen on the east ridge.
There were two non-migrant raptors – a Golden Eagle going north, and a light Red-tailed Hawk hunting over the valley.

Non-raptor Observations:
Other birds were: More than 20 Common Ravens, 3 Canada Geese, several flocks of American Robins, 2 Black-billed Magpies, several American Pipits, 12 Bohemian Waxwings, 1 Belted Kingfisher, and 2 Canada Jays.
