RMERF’s 25th Anniversary Celebration will be held on May 28th at the Beaupre Hall near Cochrane. Expect lots of stories and pictures, drinks and snacks, and plenty of time for socializing. We also hope to premiere a special 25th anniversary video. Watch this website for program details, time, and directions to the hall as they become available.

A research article on DNA analyses of Golden Eagles from three areas in Western America. Peter Sherrington, RMERF, and Sean Rogers, U of C, shared unpublished results from their research on genetics of golden eagle migrants from Alaska. It was a great turn out and about 25 people attended this year. We received a little rain but it wasn’t enough to dampen our spirits, especially with a wonderful rainbow afterwards as a reward. We would like to thank Heinz and Marilyn again for being such organized, attentive, and gracious hosts and to Claire and Joe for all their organizational work, and for bringing food, drink, and bright smiles. The Mayor’s Environmental Expo on June 8 at Calgary City Hall was a great success with many interested individuals – young and old alike. We loved all the questions. Click the photo for a high resolution version (sufficient to read much of the booth text).
