Observers: Peter Christensen

Visitors:
About 8 people came by today

Weather:
Good winds continue to elude us as the day saw a high of 20km/h at ridge level, with an average of around half that. High clouds kept the sunlight weak for much of the day, and the temps ranged from -4°C to +2°C.
Pressure dropped by a couple points through the day, and humidity stayed around 50-60%

Raptor Observations:
Eagles were sporadic and most had to work extremely hard for their progress. The first two came through before 9am – this made for our most productive hour. All eagles were in the Eastern ridge, and all were low. The split was 5a, 1u.
Our non-migrant Goshawk visited, as did an adult Bald Eagle which followed the river and was seen again sitting atop a tree after dark when the observers crossed the road bridge.

Non-raptor Observations:
It was a quiet day on all fronts, but a couple Redpolls mixed in with a Siskin flock was nice. Bohemian Waxwings, a Hairy Woodpecker, and of course our resident Canada Jays all hung around throughout the day.

Predictions:
Likely quite slow if the winds stay low
