started at 1C, high of 15C, finished at 12C

Description of the Day:

It was overcast and gloomy for most of the day, although the lack of sun did not stop the temperature from being abnormally warm. Few raptors were seen until mid-afternoon. A few sprinkles of rain were felt between noon and 3pm, but it was not enough to wet the ground. However, once the rain (if it can be called that) had passed, some blue sky was seen and a steady stream of raptors ensued until almost sunset.

Bald Eagle - 5, Northern Goshawk - 1, unknown accipiter - 1, Rough-legged Hawk - 1

Period with Most Migrants:

Nearly half the raptors passed by between 5pm and 6pm

Total Migratory Raptors:

54

Non-Migrant Raptors:

The resident Golden Eagle is still here, as is a Northern Goshawk.

Other Birds of Note:

Hairy Woodpecker 1, Canada Jay 4, Common Raven 9, Black-capped Chickadee 1, Ruby-crowned Kinglet 1, American Dipper 1, American Robin 1, White-winged Crossbill about 100 flying south
